The seventh and biggest effort, but not entirely the best

"In the seventh installment of the groundbreaking compilation album from Island Records, Patrick Forge and Trevor Wyatt has once again brought together some of the best artistes from the avant-garde music scene and put them in one handy briefcase of both danceable and relaxing songs. Starts of with `Get Another Plan' by Abstract Truth with lush horns and sultry vocals but it shifts gears immediately and jumps into Ian O'Brien's `Monkey Jazz', some sort of a thinking man's dance tune. Throughout the compilation, we see the likes of jazz, drum`n'bass , house, techno and garage. However, the 2-CD effort was a bit too much for my liking when they could've made things juicier by compacting the cream of the crop into one CD. Nevertheless, with saving graces like Roni Size's `Ballet Dance' and `African Elation' by Dean Fraser, Rebirth Of Cool 7 gets all the accolades it deserves."
