The Perfect Soundtrack for Om Records 15th Birthday Party

"Finally. Exactly what I've been waiting for. A brand new set of tracks from the label that has turned me on to more fantastic down tempo, deep house, and/or dance oriented, sexy techno than any other label. I have always looked to Om Records as a bonafide source of many of the very best grooves. Separated onto 2 discs, one labeled Night and the other Day, OM15: Celebrating 15 Years of Om Records is jam-packed with music from the label's own ultra-talented stable of artists. After looking at the imaginative illustration and well put together packaging I had a feeling that this release was going to be more than your basic money grab trading on the good name & reputation earned by Om Records over the last 15 years. My faith in Om Records integrity was well placed, for Om has delivered its most ambitious and eclectic set yet. With a total of 26 tracks by various artists, including personal favorites J-Boogie's Dubtronic Science, Atjazz, and The Jazzual Suspects (along with a ton of others not as recognizable but equally killer), this 2CD set is a definitive statement about where Om Records has been and where it is going. There is a lot of music to experience here and it's quite a journey to make it thru both Night & Day. However, if you're down with it, Om makes you feel glad to just kick back and enjoy the ride. This is a Celebration indeed."
