Synopsis

Album Description
Ministry of Sound returns with the original series, one that has defined every year in dance music for the past 14 years. The Annual is back for 2010, and this year the line up is as strong than ever. CD1 kicks off with the brilliant collaboration between Armand Van Helden & A-TRAK, Ducksauce, their track `aNYway' being described as the new Stardust `Music Sounds Better With You' (Pete Tong). There are number 1s from Dizzee Rascal, David Guetta and Calvin Harris. Massive remixes of Empire of The Sun, Jack Penate and Friendly Fires. Eric Prydz returns, and tunes keep coming from artists like Chicane, Deadmau5, Simian Mobile Disco and Paul Van Dyk. CD2 has upbeat smashes from Basshunter with `Every Morning', Pitbull with the massive hit `I Know You Want Me', and new tracks from Booty Luv, Freemasons and Basement Jaxx and their collaboration with Sam Sparro. Finally CD3 goes more bass heavy with a selection from Sidney Sampson, Crookers, The Prodigy, Count & Sinden, and includes Drum n Bass from Sub Focus, DJ Fresh and Blame. To mark the end of a decade Ministry of Sound has pulled out the stops to create 3 definitive CDs, representing one brilliant year in dance music.

CD Reviews

Good but some flaws...
Charles D. Cressy | Portsmouth, NH, USA | 10/18/2009

"As a 24 year old, i have been a fan of the trance/tecno/dance/electro/house/rave/etc for nearly 10 years. When I bought this CD I felt like I was 16 again. I was so exited to buy the annual 2010 and long awaited this release. There are some good beats in the CD, however, it lacks good DJ's and mixes. A lot of the mixes sound like belong in a Abercombie and Fitch clothing store and they probably do. I've grown with trance and tecno and this has taken me back to the beginning of introductory stuff. Where has Ministry of Sound USA been over the years???

My reccommdendation. If you are new to this genre then pick up this CD. If your not than I would not recommend this at all!!! If you want to buy a ministry of sound CD's than you should order from the UK or even better !!!AUSTRALIA!!!. I lived in Australia for two years and had the best time of my life. Music there is insane and ministry of sound Austrlaia doesn't even compare to what a joke it is here. Spend the extra $15.00 and get the import and you'll thank me later. I should have order it instead of the domesticated crap im know stuck with and will still continue to buy because its the annual. Good luck in your decision making.

"I've been a faithful Ministry of Sound (MOS) fan for the last 5 years and I have been pleased with the selection each year. This year's Annual is not the best, but does not disappoint.

If you like dance music, this is a must have CD.

If you're a faithful MOS fan, this is a must have CD."
