"A mix of traditional and popular music, this compilation has some outstanding tracks, notably Alejandro Fernandez' first solo single release, "El Andariego", recorded when he was 19, and his smooth, velvety voice is perfect for this gorgeous Alvaro Castillo valse.
His father Vicente's interpretation of Juan Gabriel's "Amor Eterno" is another highlight of the CD.Some of the other excellent tracks are: Vicky Carr's "La Sandunga", Tania Libertad's "Flor de Azalea", the norteño "El Ausente" by Lorenzo de Monteclaro, the melodic "Novia Mia" by Pedro Fernandez, a great huapango by Aida Cuevas, "El Pastor", and another Juan Gabriel song, "Tu Sigues Siendo lo Mismo", sung by Angelica Maria. This may be a better collection than the first volume of "Mexico, Voz y Sentimiento", with an overall more polished choice of selections, and it's worth owning for "El Andariego" alone !
The booklet insert has all the lyrics, and the total time is 74:02."
