My Favorite album of German Folk Music

"This album has high quality sound and some of the best German Songs. In particular, Ein Heller Und Ein Batzen is recorded with all of the verses to the song. Most albums only have one or two verses. If you like German Music, you'll definitely want this one."

"What a great cd!... I was first attracted to this cd by its clever title and the lovely frauleins on the cover. I do love German folk (although I'm still more than a little annoyed at their antics in the first half of the 20th century) and I definitely like beer drinking. The songs in this collection are top-notch and even though I can't understand a word of them, I think I get the gist and know I get the beat and can most certainly grooooove to them! Some of my old favorites are here (and probably some you'll like too). I was particularly pleased to note the inclusion of a song written for me entitled "Unter Dem Doppeladler". The hedonist's delight "Klarinettenmuckl" is also included as is my personal favorite--"Madel Ruck, Ruck, Ruck". These are great tunes, sung in great spirit. Wow."
