"A wonderful testament to the variety, versatility, and enduring power of Hank Williams's music. The recordings here range in style from the hillbilly of Roy Acuff to the pop of Tony Bennett to the r&b of Fats Domino and include both familiar and rarely heard covers of songs written by or associated with the great Hank Williams. Within the country genre alone, his amazing scope is evidenced in the Maddox Brothers and Rose's rowdy "My Bucket's Got a Hole in It," Roy Acuff's straight-ahead "I Saw the Light," and B.J. Thomas's country-pop "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry."
