On the Line, a romantic comedy starring 'N Sync's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, is accompanied by this disc, which both consolidates the standing of some of the industry's biggest teen-poppers and singles out new Jive Record... more »s signings. New 'N Sync and Fatone tracks, along with the title cut (a summit meeting of Bass, Fatone, Mandy Moore, and others), offer little new, while Britney Spears's "Let Me Be" points to her growing vocal maturity. Much more audacious is "My Hit Song," a Melissa Lefton tune that displays a Josie and the Pussycats-style irony about the current star-making machinery. Along with Vitamin C's Abba-esque "Do You C What I C?" and the return of Robyn ("What It Takes") on "Say You'll Walk the Distance," it's a highlight. Adolescent country artist Meredith Edwards adds to the project's synergy with a second version of Fatone's showcase, "Ready to Fall," while Al Green's disco-fied remake of his "Let's Stay Together" is a puzzler, distinguished only by his joyous performance. --Rickey Wright« less

"I am a huge fan of NSync but I haven't yet seen On the Line. Ya know with school and all. But I decided to buy the soundtrack and I got what I wanted and more.1. On the Line-The On The Line All-Stars: It's catchy and a great song.2. That Girl Will Never Be Mine-NSync: WOW! This song is awesome!3. Under You- Trickside: If you go on the offical webside: ... you can make a music video with this song on it. It's a cool song.4. Don't Look Down-BBMak: I like BBMak and this song but...it doesn't sound like them!5. Let's Get Together-Al Green: It's a good song but the voice kinda annoys me'6. Let Me Be- Britney Spears: It's an annoying song yet...okay/cool song. And though I like NSync, doesn't mean I "LOVE" Justin. It's fine with me if he dates...her.Sometimes she gets on my nerves but sometimes not.7. Falling-NSync: Great love song. It's awesome cause you can hear Chris....he's got a great voice.8. To Be Able to Love: Jessica Folker: She's got an annoying voice, but it's your choice...11. My Hit Song: Melissa Lefton: Great song!!12. "To my own surprise, this CD is actually very, very good! I bought this CD because my favorite artist is featured in it, Robyn. It's her first U.S. single in almost five years (she released a second album that was not released in the U.S....if you're interested in listening to intelligent lyrics, check it out: My Truth - Robyn). Robyn's song is called "Say You'll Walk the Distance." I'm glad she hasn't lost her touch...the song is my favorite on the album. The other songs on this album are pretty good too... Britney Spears is featured in this CD with a new single called "let me be." She's changed her sound a bit, vast improvement. The title track is also very good, it features the main singer from BBMak, Mandy Moore, the NSync boys who are featured in the movie, and some group I've never heard of. Al Green's remix is another great song. Vitamin C and Blaque have good tracks too. It's a fun somewhat, if not completely "pop" CD. Regardless, ROBYN is featured! So, you have to buy it! lol, just kidding."
Soundtrack of my Summer

"I have had this CD in my car pretty much since I got it, and it has become the soundtrack of my summer. It has a great mix of styles and artists and, even if you buy this only because you like NSYNC, I think that if you give the whole CD a chance you will end up liking it. I can't really pick a favorite song because I like them all so well, but it could be NSYNC's "Falling" co-written by Chris Kirkpatrick, a classic NSYNC ballad, with a lovely melody and beautiful harmonies. I also reallly love BBMak's "Don't Look Down" and Britney's "Let Me Be", two artists I had never really listened to before. Oh, and who could forget Al Green's remake of "Let's Stay Together", now that'll get ya goin' on your way to work!! If you give the "On the Line" soundtrack a chance, I think that you might just discover an artist or style that you didn't think you liked. All in all, for me, "On the Line" is right "on the money" for the listening mood I'm in this summer."

"I'm a great fan of that cd, it's really the boom. I have the DVD and found out that it's not complete without the soundtrack. I LoVe IT!!!. Most especially "Ready to fall in Love", because it reflects my life personally. If you have the DvD without the Soundtrack CD, your collection is not complete. Go get it , it's worth the money and time. And moreover I'm a SYNC Nsync fan 4-Ever."
Calm down and just enjoy it!

"If you really love music and singing you will enjoy a large portion of this soundtrack. If you are embroiled in the "anti-pop" movement- especially "anti-'Nsync" than it isn't for you unless you stop trying to be cool and aloof and just give it a listen. These songs are primarily about unrequited love and alot of people think this is sappy. I have discovered Meredith Edwards- she has a truly beautiful voice, she sings the last track here. Joey Fatone sings another version on this soundtrack,It's pretty good. I bought this CD because I am an 'Nsync fan and there are some new songs by them. "That girl" feels like a retread of "Bye Bye Bye", but "Falling" is great and we get to hear the underrated Chris a little more. Some of the females songs are vapid and meaningless, with the exception of Meredith. As a whole, I don't believe it should be dismissed because it's pop;there are alot of talented young singers on this disc. So just relax and realize that music doesn't always have to be about how crummy life is in order to be relevant. That's my opinion anyway."
