Island Warriors is a collection of today's biggest and brightest talents in the contemporary Hawaiian music scene. Over the past decade or so, the popular music produced in Hawaii had been influenced heavily by other island music styles. Dubbed by many as "Jahwaiian" Music, it was primarily a derivative of Jamaican Reggae with it's roots in Polynesia. But as we have entered into the new millennnium, the music has progressed into a much more sophisticated blend, and for many, the term "Jahwaiian" Music no longer applies. R&B, Hip Hop, Rock and World Music permeate the mix and the result is indefinable. Island Warriors takes it one step further.
