"i'd say at least half the music on this CD sounds like it would make great spy movie music -- & that's a compliment. the tunes are bluesy to psychedelic & some somehow manage to make a funky combo of the two. & they aren't all "purely" instrumental (as the Amazon.com review suggests), since on the jimmy nicol cut they occasionally shout out "HUSKY!" (it's hilarious) & on Teen Tonic there are some vocal stylings a la esquivel meets james brown -- if that makes any sense? i especially like dave pike set's Mathar, because of the funky use of indian instruments & the tracks with all the electronic blips & burps (both les yper cuts & electric frankenstein's), but, really, all the tracks on this album are outstanding -- each having its own unique sound.& since Amazon.com doesn't give the complete breakdown of what-all's on this CD, here it is:1) John Shakespeare Orchestra, Fade Out, 1969
2) Cocktail Cabinet, Breathalyser, 1967
