CD Reviews
Beware: This CD is not mixed

"Just got the CD and was surprised to find that it's not evenmixed. I assumed it was a mixed compilation because of the accoladefrom Muzik magazine and the title "Incredible Sound of..." It should be titled "The Incredible Songs that Trevor Nelson likes." Shame on him for not having the talent to make a mix CD. Now I'm stuck with a [CD] full of single tracks and I'm not going to bust that out at a party."
The R n B Compilation of the Year

"Grab a copy for your house, grab a copy for your ride, grab a copy for your friend! Over 2 discs, Trevor Nelson selects 19 and 17 tracks, respectively of the finest R n B music around. We are treated on disc one with an ode to the WESTSIDE by TQ. Former Fresh Prince of Bel Air personality Tatyana Ali drops in on track 2 with the Peter Gunz & Lord Tariq esque DAYDREAMIN'. (Hmmm!) Trevor puts the train back on track with Monifah on TOUCH IT, track 3. Guaranteed to get any party rockin'. Thug life fans will get up on Noreaga's SUPERTHUG. With a little bit for everyone, Miami Bass fans will be delighted with SWING MY WAY by KP and Envyi. Trevor digs in the crates to bring out the MTV friendly MY BOO by the Ghost Town DJ's. Two hit wonder Yvette Michelle follows with the Ghetto Anthem I'M NOT FEELIN YOU. But the minimalist IT'S ALL YOURS by MC Lyte shines. "This is for all the years ya been My companion As well as my best friend . . ." With a guest appearance by Lost Boyz rapper, DO YOU FEEL ME by Men of Vision spreads more R n B flavor. Shinning high above all the rest, the Boogie Down anthem by Big Pun, STILL NOT A PLAYER maintains its bounce 2 years later. Who can forget that hook, "Bo-ri-cua, Mo-re-na, Bo-ri-cua, Mo-re-na" But when you think it can't get any better, listen for Bon Garcon's IF YOU NEED A MAN. R n B at its finest. Finally, CD one caps off with yet another Anthem, HARD KNOCK LIFE by Jay Z. On disc two, I'm really feelin' HOLD ME by Brian McKnight, which samples Gangstars's hook "Step Up" and the beat from Tupac's I GET AROUND. Another gem, disc two, track 6, SOMETIMES by THE BRAND NEW HEAVIES. R n B stripped to its roots and N'Dea's vocals, The ever clever Trevor laces in Masters at Work featuring India, I CAN'T GET NO SLEEP. Then Trev digs in tha crates for FUNKY SENSATION by Gwen McCrae. If for no other reason, get this album for this track. "I'm calling all you party people Come on Get up And dig that funk I have for ya I have a Funky Sensation That'll spread around the nation Get up Clap ya hands And feel the groove . . .""
