"This compialation emerged from the Black Rock Coalitions efforts in getting many of their members and supporters a national platform. The platform was this disc, however many of the major labels did'nt bite and as a result many of these bands in time fell into obscurity. These tracks are a thrilling example of the creativity these bands produced at their height (I'm in Richmond,Va and I can personally tell you the "Good Guys" a Richmond based band that is featured on this set were a powerfull concert draw in their heyday(80's early 90's) opening for many touring artist ranging from Bootsy Collins to Fishbone, even touring with Simply Red during their Grammy heydays, they recorded several independant releases and toured extensively.)This set is well worth the great prices I've noticed it selling for,if you like proggressive Rock&Funk,Soul&Blues mixed with at times a flavor of ol' school hip hop this collection has it all."
Whatever happened?

"there was a moment in time when Living Colour wuz the hottest
band in the world(they're still one of the most talented) and
the bands on this cd along with a few other folks like Follow For
Now and The Family Stand were on the verge of taking back the
mothership, that day may be done, gone& never seen but you can catch
a glimpse of what could have been on this disc, Royal Pain &
BLACKASAURUS MEX are 2 of the highlights, check it out.
