Summer Music Biss!

"The geniuses over at Kinkysweet recordings have done it again, and just in time for summer! This album is absolutely superb! The title suggests everything that you would expect from this album. Awesome groovable music for a perfect summer afternoon by the pool. Both CD's 1 & 2 stay in track with each other, and the style flows through smoothly from start to finish. If you are a huge fan of the Bargroove series, you'll love this album as well. Just think of it as Bargrooves but with a daytime tropical twist. It includes some well known favorites and newly welcomed tracks. The album cover gives you a preview of the exact mood that it will put you in... Classy, groovable, cocktail sipping, lounging or dancing by the poolside. It is also great music for cruising in your convertible down the coast on a warm summers day. This will be a frequent in my cd player all throughout summer. Worth every dollar. Highly recommended!"
True, Purist House Revisited

"THE SUMMARY:
With this installment of the "Habitat" series, I feel as though House music has really grown up and has become a legitimate AND sophisticated genre of music. In fact, it has always been really.
THE GROOVE:
Most of the beats are hard-hitting and deep and very indicative of Detroit- and Chicago-based grooves and vocality. Those who are purists when it comes to House will enjoy this installment tremendously.
RECOMMENDED TRACKS:
--Disc One--
Track 1: Joilet's "Rise" (very gospelic and uplifting)
Track 2: Barbara Walker's "Saved Me" (very R&B-inspried with a hard-hitting, disco flare)
Track 9: Connie Harvey's "Thank You Lord" (Very gospelic, infused with divatude)
--Disc Two--
Track 6: Bobby & Steve/f.Barbara Tucker and Bryan Chambers: "Deeper In Love" (Very light & reminiscent of late-70's Disco)
Track 9: Michelle Weeks' "Gotta Keep Tryin'" (Hard-core Progressive House with spine-tingling, gospelic vocals---Love this track to death!)
Track 12: CeCe Rodgers' "Come On & Dance" (The raspy vocals mixed with a hard-hitting House beat makes for an intense track that you MUST move to)
CONCLUSION:
This album, as indicated by the title of the series, is really perfect for entertaining at pool parties, soirees and even larger, events. I highly recommend it.

Fairly Mellow.

"I found this cd to be more mellow that I bought it for. I thoght the tunes were between a MOS (fast) and cafe del mar (lounge). This is good background party music with some tunes you can recall from other cds, like:
- Release Yourself by Copyright
- Deeper in love by Bobby and Steve
My favorites are:
- I just wanna be by Jay "Sinister"
- Come on and Dance by CeCe Rogers
- Committed by Hardsoul
Enjoy the tunes!"
