More fun Bowie covers

"If you're a Bowie completist, then you'll have to have this no matter what, but even if you're a casual fan this is a fun CD. Standout tracks include a really interesting version of "China Girl" and a truly Gothic approach to the already goth "Cat People". And, of course, it's almost impossible to do a bad version of "Heroes" or "Scary Monsters". Most arrangements are departures from the traditional Bowie arrangements, which is refreshing. Speaking as a Bowie fan and not a goth fan- this is a pretty cool CD."
Fun for the Open-Minded

"A friend of mine bought this cd by mistake and gave it to me because I sometimes have weird taste (or so everyone seems to think.)
Some of the song versions are quite odd, but they really grow on you. I really wasn't familiar with modern goth music so the closest comparison I can really draw is to sound art. All the Mad Men uses some wonderfully strange sound effects, China Girl is delightfully just out-of-tune, and other songs on the track are more normal-sounding but still nice such as Starman.
My favorite song on the CD is Cat People. It's very intense. I like it even more than the original version.
This CD has had a regular spot in my travel CD wallet since I got it and when my new mp3 player arrives later this week I will make sure to include it. So far no one I know really appreciates this album the way that I do, but I think I love it enough for everyone."
