"Furthur More is the second offering in the furthur series, first released in 1997 to promote the second furthur festival of concerts Of summer of 1997.
Ten tracks, many artists featured: {Moe, The Black Crowes, Ratdog, Arlo Guthrie, Bruce Hornsby, Planet Drum). Some live, some studio, 65 minutes of good music, and the vendors want one whole penny for this one!
The song by Moe called: "Moth" got me started on their great music. So, as a sampler disc, "Furthur More" more than fits the bill. And: "The Ticket" sums up in 3 minutes, just what the whole "Parking Lot Scene" was about from 83-95, Sherri Jackson, is Cool, she really get's it! But, folks, Arlo Guthrie, is the real star on this one: "Highway in the Wind" is an fantastic song that I have played for everyone, I can't get enough of this one...Arlo, STILL RULES !!!
Again as on the first "Furthur" release, the live tracks are: "edits" from much longer jams & medleys, and I want more, but alas, it is a teaser, to get you to the festival. And it was quite a festival! The Mountian View shows were killer...we got: "Saint Stephen" after waiting 20 years!
This CD, won't make bring back The Filmore West or Winterland or even Jerry for that matter....but, It will make you smile, and THAT is what the shows were about for me 35 years ago....none of this will ever fade away, unless you let it."
