The best Irish tin-whistle and flute cd I've heard.

"I'm a tin whistle player and a real fan of Irish dance music. This cd is a sampler from Green Linnet that showcases what has to be their best stuff. I've ordered extra copies to send to cousins in Ireland. If you are not familiar with the music, this is a great way to sample a variety of individual artists' styles. If you are already a lover of Irish instrumental music, this collection will knock your socks off. Most of the tunes are fast, but it is never monotonous. Different accompaniments on guitar, bodhran, and fiddle add color and richness. And wait for the very last tune on the cd: O'Carolan's Farewell to Music, a sad lament on whistle and harp. Every time it plays, I freeze in place and listen while my hair stands up. These tunes run through my head while I'm at work. What a treat!"
Don't Overlook this CD!

"I bought what I thought was a generic album for Celtic flute and whistle. I love these instruments, but found the music to be anything but gentle. I find myself reaching for this CD for my hikes in the forest. I reach for it along with the best of Altan, Joannie Madden, the Cheiftains and Solas. The pace with the reels and jigs is wonderful. I put it on my portable headphones and rip along mountain trails! If you love quality flute and whistle celtic music, this is a "reel" sleeper CD that you shouldn't pass by. Guess who is on the album? Altan, Joannie and company. Enjoy!"
Upbeat, moods, and traditional Celtic - great collection.

"Great CD, whether its your first or one of many New Age or Celtic CDs. You can't go wrong with this one. There's lots for everyone. A solid selection"
