High bpm, yet soothing and melodic as the title suggests

"True to the form of it's predecessor, More Ethereal Melodic Trance delivers more relaxing instrumental electronic trance. The content here is high bpm electronic music with a light-hearted theme that matches the colorful and tropical cover art quite well. It includes tracks by rising stars in the electronic trance scene such as Minister and Concept, and also features a couple of tracks by more well known artists like ATB and Mirco De Govia. The whole compilation flows together well...I especially like the last song, Monkey Forest, for providing a dramatic conclusion to the album. Consider this CD the "Pure Moods" of trance music...sort of a soft interlude from the bass intensive psytrance and goa trance genres. If you like electronic music and are looking for a more laid back excerpt to add your collection, More Ethereal Melodic Trance is a good album to have on hand."
Good songs, bad mix

"I really enjoy the songs on this CD, but I've heard better mixes elsewhere. Case in point: Epic Monolith by Micro de Govia is a wonderfully uplifing melodic tune, but the version you'll find on Paul Van Dyk's "Politics Of Dancing" is much better. Same song, same basic melody, but robbed of the anticipation, build, climax and satisfaction Van Dyk's mix gave it. Nevertheless, this is one of the best trance compilations I've heard. Best tunes: Epic Monolith, Beautiful, String Express, Tranz-Canada, Dream, and Advent."

"For the Melodic Trance connoisseur, you have just found a precious gem. Every song is a good one. It is golden, it really is. You will really beef up your collection with this title and the previous one, equally good, called Ethereal Melodic Trance. Get them ASAP!"
