"Unfortunately, this is not the double CD advertised often on TV. But it is still great. I have a lot of these songs in my "collection" already, but "Steal Away" by Robbie Dupree has eluded me so I decided to break down and get this. These songs in this particular combination are incredibly cool, fun and relaxing. A great purchase."

"I like this cd, I got it at [local store] and before that, I was dying to get it, it has some very nice songs on here and great artists. Chicago (I love this band's music)-baby, what a big surprise and Benny marodnes masterpiece, "Into the night" ...another one is escape (the pina colada song)by Rupert Holmes. I totally recommand this cd."

"If you'd like to look at my profile, you'd see that I was born well after the vast majority of these songs had already run their course on the charts. The fact that this is one of my favorite CD's is certainly a testimonial to the power of some of these songs. I will agree with some of the other reviews of this album that there is quite a bit of cheesiness here, but I also most definitely agree with the one reviewer who calls it "great music to forget your troubles." As I pointed out earlier, it seems rather strange that someone my age can really appreciate these songs, especially having heard many for the first time on this CD, however, many of these songs are masterpieces of music and even more are timeless."

"I am not normally a "collections" type of person, as I prefer original and greatest hits albums by my favorite individual artists. This collection, however, is an exceptional one in the arena of soft rock. Call the beginning of this CD "The Michael McDonald Show", as he sings backup vocals on the great Kenny Loggins and Christopher Cross hits and then has a solo song of his own there. Also, of course, he sings lead on the Doobie Brothers' "What A Fool Believes" that is later on the disk. Unlike most soft rock collections (not to mention unlike adult comtemporary radio), most of the songs are absolute gems that I am not tired of listening to after all these years. There are no artists or songs on here that I can't stand. With quality, meaningful songs by artists from Ambrosia to Earth, Wind, and Fire to Little River Band to Benny Mardones, you can't help but be in a calm, pleasant mood when listening to this disk. While (again) I'm not one to promote many collections, this one I give a definite thumbs up."

"I was able to get the 2 disc version of this cd when I saw the ad for it on tv and the disc is AWESOME!! I grew up in the 70's and remember almost every song on this disc. My favorites in this compilation have to be the "Time Passages" by Al Stewart and "What a Fool Believes" by the Doobies!!
I highly recommend this cd to any 70's pop fan! This cd ROCKS!!"
