"This is a pretty danceable CD. I was in England in 1996 and during that time House Music was in a state of evolution. What we have here is part of that evolution; many of the tracks here sound like the stuff that was spreading from the UK to the US - a bit of "role reversal".



I just wish I knew who the DJ was for this compilation...good job on the mix!"

"This is the best house compilation CD I've ever heard, and I've heard plenty. (Unfortunately, it's also better than the follow-up, Deep House U.K. Vol. 2) If you like Ten City/Byron Stingily, Marshall Jefferson, The Original (I Luv U Baby), Third Party, etc. buy this and you won't be disappointed. P.S. Another good compilation is "Disco in the House"... it grows on you."

Vocal House but still done nicely

"This is one fine mix done with instrumental and a little vocal house music. The mix goes along smoothly and the house is pounding and deep. The DJ (who remains unknown) ends the mix on a techno tip but still does it nicely. Don't let the generic name of this cd fool you, this is a well done mix that will keep you moving and grooving."
