Another Great Compilation from Ace Records

"Ace Records has done it again with The Coed Records Story, another outstanding compilation of most of the best recordings from Coed Records, an independent label from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Missing, however, are any recordings by Adam Wade, probably Coed's most popular artist. (Ace must not have had the rights to reissue his recordings.) The sound quality on the CD is excellent as are the liner notes. There are great recordings here by The Crests, The Rivieras, The Duprees, The Harptones, Trade Martin, and others. But, contrary to the current listing information on Amazon, Shirley & Lee had nothing to do with this CD."
