Before you make what may be the highly unpopular decision to ban Cardcaptors from your house--given that it's aimed unabashedly and sometimes cloyingly at the under-12 crowd--consider the upshot. These are 13 occasionally ... more »treacly tracks that, for all their fluffiness, provide temporary parental respite from protective patrol duty. What we have here are songs of friendship, loyalty, and inspiration: "Tell Me" tasks a best friend with baring all in the name of bonding; the swishy, Madonna-inspired "Just Around the Corner" reassures that friends are at the ready; the boy-band style ballad "I Can Make It" sets preteens to swooning with the refrain "With a friend like you / I know I can make it"; and "I Got Your Back," which waters down poppy R&B till it's still soggier, sets the foundation for a sense of solidarity with its promise that "I'm always going to be your best friend / Fighting side by side / To the very end." Eleven-year-old Francophiles will feel further appreciation for their beret-wearing brethren when they learn that the pulse-raising, arena-arousing "No Nagging" by Froggy Mix is a major French hit. Though grownups may be unable to separate Sakura from Sabrina the Teenage Witch or make sense of what it means to be the Guardian of the Cards, most make a point about guarding impressionable minds from media muck. Keeping records like this one within arm's reach drains the trickiness from the task. --Tammy La Gorce« less

I like singing along to this one.8-My fave song used in the TV show.9-So-so. Not that great of a beat.10-This song should of been the opening theme.11-Really cool!I love this song!12-Ehh... I've never thought this theme was that great.13-My favorite song on the CD! Finally, something from a dub that sounds kinda like anime music!"

"On this cd there are songs of friendship and each song[except one] are very upbeat. Some of these songs are from the tv series, some of these songs are from the first movie, and some of these songs are from neither! If you have never seen the first movie or have never seen the tv series, and you want to, then I think this cd is worth your budget.
These are songs from the first movie:
The guardian of the cards
Tell me
Just around the corner
No nagging
Let's go
These are songs from the tv series:
main title[the cardcaptors theme song]
ordinary girl
just around the corner
These are songs from neither one:
Invisible me
I got your back
I can make it
Lucky day
Whenever you try
She is the one
I advise all Cardcaptors/cardcaptor sakura fans to try this cd out."

"A lot of songs on this cd are really upbeat. My favorite is guardian of the cards. I think six isn't upbeat. If you used to watch the dub, some of the songs are on here from the dub. Some of them are from the first Cardcaptors movie. And some of them aren't. If you like Sailor Moon- sons from the hit tv series and Sailor Moon Lunarock."

"I wouldn't call it an unpopular decision to ban Cardcaptors from your house.A wise decision would be more accurate. The original songs (from Cardcaptor Sakura) fit the actual settings they were played in. And they sounded good too.
Heck, You don't need to know ANY Japanese to hear the difference between the two. This CD just makes ones ears bleed.Just attempt to get a copy of some of the original CD's from somewhere.Leave this CD well alone."
