"this CD contains about a number of classic freestyle tracks in both NY & Miami style (mostly from artists signed at one point to Warner/Atlantic).
what's right about this CD is it includes a number of hard to find freestyle tracks in CD digitized format, notably Genuine Parts' enjoyable Did it feel like love (their best releases came later - I don't care for you and Start our love again), Giggles' cool Hot Spot (lesser known follow up to Love Letter), Company B - Perfect Lover (good but less good than Jam on me, Fascinated & Full circle) & Chrissy I-eece's decent You should know by now (not as good as the brilliant Love Desire but much better than Can you see it). It also includes classics everyone will know from the amazing Sweet Sensation & Shannon & Corina & Cynthia, and some less exciting crossover freestyle from Linear & Pajama Party.
what I don't like about this CD - it claims to contain various extended club mixes, when in fact it for the most part contains short mixes or (sometimes poorly) edited mixes of the club mixes. this is rather misleading to freestyle and club fans seeking out the original 12" mixes
all in all, a good (but not the best) collection of classic freestyle. if it's 12" mixes you want, check out freestyle's best extended mixes on Cutting and the 12"s of micmac on MicMac, each containing full club mixes of their top releases"

"This CD does take you back to the 80's with these dance club hits. Good CD to listen to while you're hanging out enjoying a good BBQ with Friends!"

"If you like OLD SCHOOL freestyle, pick this one up. It has a three great songs that you won't find in the "Greatest Beats" or "Explosion" collections - Security, I Need You, and Give Me Back My Heart. If you've never listened to post-1991 Freestyle, pick up a NEW SCHOOL mix CD also, such as DMA's Freestyle Flava, Freestyle Forever, or Freestyle Boom."
