"This edition of "The best of Blue Note" is a true revelation, song by sing.
I would like to remark my favorite ones, if I may among this constellation of extraordinary themes. First at all, Dexter Gordon (one of my four favorite of the sax of those decades (together with Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and Stan Getz) . his well known version of "I guess I'll hang my tears out to dry" is simply outstanding; his warm tune and impressive phrasing make a true musical document. Blue Train of John Coltrane is another admirable version; duke Ellington with his peerless Caravan, The famous piece of Count Bassie "The kid from Red Blank" ; well theirs no space to make you tio know how gratifying, stimulating, scintillating and rewarding this album is.
So, in case you want to get the chance to get this album, ple4ase don't think it over and do it. It's absolutely amazing.

I love every track. Now I just need to track down some more stuff by the people on it..."
