Big band sounds you can listen to forever!

"If you enjoy listening to big band music this CD collection is for you. The set includes 36 all time favorites recorded on 3 CDs. The music is full bodied and alive as only original recordings in digital format can achieve. When my wife purchased this set I was somewhat skeptical. How good can a 3 CD set be when it sells for $12.99? We have been listening to it for over a year now and never tire of it.Drop all three CDs in your CD player, set it on random play, and escape into the world of big band sounds as they must have been in the dance halls and pavillions of the 30's and 40's. I highly recommend this set."

"I have been a fan of big band music all of my life. When I purchased this cd set, what a thrill it was to hear this old music again.This band does a good job of revising these old work horse tunes, but remaining true to the songs. The band keep the old sounds alive with their arrangements. The instrumentaion is that of the old bands. It uses no electronic instruments. Hooray for the band!The band choose to record most of my favorite songs. It threw in a few tunes that I didn't know, but i'm sure a lot of people will recognize them.The arrnagers Roland Shaw and Barry Forge really did a good job with their arrangemnts. These are some of the best arrangemtns I have ever heard.All in all, I think everyone did their part to contibute to this project. I would like to say thank you to everyone who was a paart of this fabilous cd set.Recommendation: I can gladly recommend this cd set."
