Vastly ignored and underrated artists...

"Believe it or not, I have this in vinyl and I play it evvy once in a while. No, I wasn't there when these first were released, I got the 'dig on', Wynonie Harris in my young yuppie years. Some are showing their age, like "Good Morning Judge" but most of them are rockin' blues shoutin' numbers in the vein of someone like Fats Waller, Clarence Carter or believe it or not, like when Bootsy Collins did his playin' playa thing. There are tunes on this I listen to over and over like "All She Wants to Do is Rock" and straight-out humourous tunes I play for my close friends... they like "Lovin' Machine". Oh, by the way, between the two in the Battle of the Bands, in mine, Wynonie edges Roy Brown, but not by much...."
