The usual 5 stars for CD1, 2 stars for disappointing CD2

"Having worked my way through the just about all of the double CD sets in the bargrooves series, I have to say this is this first one that hasn't exceeded my expections. In fact, CD2 doesn't even come close to *meeting* my expectations. CD1, mixed as always by Ben Sowton, delivers the goods, serving up one tasty track after the next. The beats are tight, the pads enveloping, the bass colorful. I wish Ben had spun on both CD's, it would have been a much more satisfying package. CD2 just completely lacks the refinement and sophistication this series usually delivers in spades. CD2 is electronic, digital, synthy and jarring. Perhaps the influence of too much europop. That said, there is one good track "Breathe Again" which closes the set. If only the whole set could have been so good.... I still recommend bargrooves terrazza, though. It's worth it to have Ben's CD. And hopefully bargrooves will steer clear of any europop influences on future excursions."

"i am an avid bargrooves fan...they are all good. its always the hottest lounge/dance/electronica period. ben stowan is the man and he always lays down the hot wax...what got me on this set terrazza was the second cd...i dont know how people are not diggin on this cat lele sacchi, he is nice...the second disk is a whole other feel then the first more dance/electronic versus ben's laid back disc one...bargrooves is a sure thing never disapoints"
