"This CD is very different from anything I listened to before. And I have to say that I grew up listenig to Dumitru Farcas on TV when I was a kid (Tezaur Folcloric show for my fellow Romanians). It is Dumitru Farcas at taragot and Marcel Cellier at the organ. Most of the songs are "doina" which is best described as the Romanian version of blues. The songs are carefully chosen to fit an organ in the backgound. If you are Romainan, you will be surprized to hear a lot of tunes in a different perspective, the replacement of a "taraf" (traditional orchestra) with an organ making the tunes more "intelectualized". If you never heard Dumitru Farcas before, think of this CD as a first contact to the muzic of what I dare to call "the Sidney Bechet of the Carpathians". Well worth the money."
