The Hacker steps up to deliver "A.N.D. N.O.W." on 17 July through Uncivilized World --- his second ever mix album featuring sixteen tracks from leaders of the underground club scene. The Hacker delivers the first of two of his own tracks with the doom laden "Flesh & Bone" featuring Perspects and then embarks on Kiko & Gino's high powered "Odyssey," which is stained with sci-fi echoes, before he drops the pace and ushers in the luscious, unearthly soundscape of his own "Link 1." The Hacker, a.k.a. Michel Amato, began his musical career at the tender age of 17. "I was really driven by the likes of Cabaret Voltaire, Depeche Mode, New Order and Joy Division," says Amato. "I joined a new-wave type rock band and discovered bands like S-Express, M/A/R/R/S and Inner City. I was amazed by them and was totally convinced that this music would change the world." Adopting the name of The Hacker in homage to a track by the Master of Detroit, he became interested in the burgeoning US electro sound.
