A collection of rare and in-demand 'modern soul' gems recorded at Malaco studios in Jackson, Mississippi. Featuring 21 classic sounds from a thirty-year period, including vintage tracks by Johnnie Taylor, King Floyd, Dorothy Moore, G.C. Cameron, Hank Sample, Richard Caiton, The Patterson Twins, Billy Cee and Ray Crumley and recent favourites by Floyd Taylor, Stan Mosley, Patrick Green and Carl Sims plus three previously unissued tracks from legendary soul singers Sam Dees, Chuck Brooks and George Jackson. Compiled by Garry J Cape, the album has an 8-page booklet with liner notes by Steve Guarnori and all tracks have been remastered from the original tapes by Paul Mooney at South Union.
