"As a die-hard Aerosmith fan, I'm shocked at the other reviews here. This album is for serious fans of the performers only, and if you're a big Aerosmith fan, it's neat to have on your CD rack, but it won't get much playing time.Ted Nugent and Ronnie James Dio BUTCHER "Rag Doll" and "Dream On," respectively. "Draw The Line" is outstanding, as are "Chip Away" and "Sweet Emotion" (although maybe Jack Blades should have stuck to his harmonies and let Tommy Shaw do his thing). What I'd love to see is a compilation of all the great Aero-covers that are true re-interpretations of the originals. If you're an Aerosmith fan, you owe it to yourself to hear the Mighty Mighty Bosstones do "Sweet E," REM do "Toys," Garth Brooks do "Fever," and the Breeders do "Lord of the Thighs." Add in the recent death-metal versions of Aero songs (Metal Church, Testament, etc.), and heck, stick Run-DMC's "Walk This Way" on there (or, if you'd like, the Hank Williams version), and you'd have a NEAT collectible."
DIO delivers the best of an okay tribute cd.

"Tribute records are typically either hit or miss and this one is no different. The standout song is "Dream On" with a heaven-sent combination of Ronnie James Dio with Yngwie Malmsteen. Dio makes this tune his own by not doing a paint by the numbers rendition, instead he adds his own take on it with tuneful vocals and a passion. Yngwie's guitar part is what you'd expect...a million notes per minute. Mark Slaughter shines on "Back In The Saddle", Vince Neil rocks "Chip Away At The Stone", Jeff Keith and Tommy Skeoch of TESLA fame totally rock out on "Draw The Line", as does the combo of Jack Russell (GREAT WHITE), Jeff Pilson (DOKKEN) and Bobby Blotzer (RATT) on "Same Old Song And Dance", WARRANT'S own Jani Lane delivers on "No Surprize" and set ender "Toys In The Attic" is ripped on by Stephen Pearcy (RATT) and Tracii Guns (LA GUNS). Stinkers include songs by Ted Nugent, Jack Blades & Tommy Shaw, Mickey Thomas of STARSHIP and Fee Waybill(TUBES) abomination of "Walk This Way". I recommend it based on the strength of the winners. RATING: 7/10"

"More than an average tribute put together in haste, this set of songs and the tasteful pairings of musicians is solid! I think a good amount of thought was put into the selections of music and people to play each song....very well matched to style and tempermant of the artists normal concepts! My Biases would lean me towards the exciting mix of Yngwie and Dio due to my avid following of both Rainbow and Malmsteen's Rising Force.Ted Kicked like I knew he would too~ Hell the whole thing ROCKS!Eddie Newmiller"
Not bad if you like the artists
