Amazon.comHeavy metal means many different things. Sometimes it doesn't even mean heavy--just look at those late-night power ballads advertisements. That's not the case with Frezno Smooth. Beginning with Lemmy from Motorhead spitting forth Dee Snider's "Hardcore" and ending with a live version of the band's classic self-titled single, they didn't build this ride for people with faint hearts. Notable metal names Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, and Dio stand as historically important. But the true grit manifests itself on the Soundgarden-like grunge of "Fear Death by Water" by Sixty Watt Shaman, the leaden drum attack of Testament, and the aggressive hardcore punk attack of Whitekap's "Disco Ball." Even the movie's leading man, Ice-T, gets into the spirit of things by sneaking in a hilarious anti-cop rant before Dee Snider's live rendition of his old band's '80s rebel anthem "We're Not Gonna Take It." --Rob O'Connor
