Synopsis

Album Description
Unbunny?s Typist, the fourth release in Important Records? Arts & Crafts series, contains six new tracks from Unbunny ? who have, despite some recent larger press attention, continued to go on relatively undiscovered as a result of their reluctance to tour, interview or get too involved with the music industry. While many familiar with Unbunny know that Jarid Del Deo is a wordsmith with a charming sense of lyrical self-deprecation matched with wit and a gift for melody, Typist also contains a couple of Del Deo?s instrumental tracks. Del Deo has an instrumental aesthetic that matches his visual collage aesthetic, sounding like Kurt Schwitters would have sounded if his collages had come to life. It?s our hope that Unbunny will release their first instrumental collection on Important at some point in the next couple of years?but for now, here?s the latest from New Hampshire?s best-kept secret. As per usual in the Arts & Crafts series, Typist comes packaged in a screen-printed, oversized matchbook containing various envelopes in which slides, seeds, stamps, original typewriter artwork, wallpaper and more can be found. Each package was handmade by Jarid del Deo. Typist is limited to 500 copies.

CD Reviews

Fantastic!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I know everyone has their own 'music' taste per se. So in many ways it's hard for me to sum up a band or a band's album in words. I choose to share this instead. My car was broken into about 3 weeks ago now and the stereo was stolen. Besides being frustrated by having to deal with a broken window, ripped out heating unit, etc., I was most upset that they got my 'Typist' cd which was in the stereo. I hope whomever took my stereo decided to listen to it and enjoyed it. Being that there were only 500 copies of this cd made, I instantly went back on Amazon and bought 3 more! (One for me, one as a back up, and one as a gift). I not only suggest this album to music listeners, but also Snow Tires by Unbunny. I love both albums and consider Unbunny my band of 2007! (Note: Typist came out in 2005 and Snow Tires in 2004. In life it's all about the timing when the music crosses your path.) If you choose to purchase one or both albums. Please enjoy!"
