"I'm from the midwest, so I've never heard of these guys existence until discovering the Monster Records label's catalog. Not sure how well known this band still is down south near the Texas way they were from. There isn't really anything original here, but if you are looking for a new disc that has what best embodied a lot of 70's rock, this is a good choice. The lead track on this disc, Mutants, sounds like Jimi Hendrix singing a dual guitar Thin Lizzy rocker. The second track, Androids, starts off very similar to Golden Earring's Radar Love. After that, the derivativeness doesn't sound so "rip-off", which is a good thing. I actually think the band really began to hit their stride on the latter songs on the disc. There are some mid-tempo southern-cowboy rockers mixed in that balance out the straight ahead numbers. I'm sure one of the reasons this band never made it was because they sounded like many others of their time. However, just when you think you've covered most of the essential bands of this period, it is refreshing to find something of this quality that you know you won't be hearing on classic rock radio anytime soon. That's too bad, because classic rock radio could benefit in variety by digging up more hidden gems like this. Look at the other editorial reviews and if your interest is the slightest bit peaked, do yourself a favor and buy this."
