U.S. Bombs - 'Lost In America/Live 2001' (Disaster)

"'Lost In...' was recorded at various loctations of bars, taverns, watering holes, dives(whatever you wish to call them)during the band's 'Back To The Laundromat' tour in 2001.The U.S.Bombs tend to remind me of like maybe The Clash meets The Ramones.Another good punk release on the Disaster label.Club shatterin' cuts are "Tora!Tora!Tora!","Lunch In A Sack","Rubber Room","The World Goin' Out" and "Ballad Of Sid".I had NO idea this band had put out their first lp in 1979.They'd been around that long? The line-up on this disc:Duane Peters-vocals,Kerry Martinez&Nate Sponster-guitars,Wade Walston-bass and Chip Hanna-drums.Should appeal to fans of G.B.H.,Dead Boys,Buzzcocks and Sham 69."

"If you have never been to a bombs show, they may easily be the best live punk band out there. Duane Peters go crazy on the stage and that is reflected somewhat in this album. He will be jumping, sliding and skating all around the stage. If you dont have any other bombs cds get a different one, but if you want the live element get this now. Highlights: Tora Tora Tora, Orange Crunch, and The Contract are my favorites and done really well. Downsides: Not much, the sound quality is not something you would get from a studio, but thats a good thing. Long live punk."
