CD ReviewsMelodic pop metal L. B. Ivarsson | Rock City | 01/31/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "Me, giving this album 4 stars might has something to do with being nostalgic. The songs on "The wreck age" is totally different from the bands two classic albums "Spellbound" and "Crazy nights", and shows a band that has gone from heavy metal to pop metal. But the songs are very catchy and melodic, and Deverill is a good singer. I guess you'll find this one interesting if you're into bands like DOKKEN. But have in mind that "The wreck age" is very time-typical and may not be the best example of music that stand the test of time." Superb!! Robert C. Alford | williamsport indiana | 05/06/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Simply amazing, some of the best music i have ever listend to in my life! Never before would i have ever think that pop metal could be so wonderful. Well tygers of pan tang `s wreck-age is a classic example of what you can do with keyboards, and possibly chessey lyrics, and make into what i believe is a masterpiece. Every single song in the album is catchy, but in cool way. This is exampled in "women in cages" What could be construed "chesse" i call it awesome. Jon Deveril`s voice has to be among one of the best. The album is simialr to a europe album, cause deveril almost sounds like joey tempest, but is a far better cry then them. Although i am huge fan of them , Wreck-age surpasses all of europe`s work. Dont be afraid of keyboards, and sing along songs, because you are missing out on a true classic!" Pure Metal And Melody!!! Dave | mty, mexico | 05/24/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "I bought this cd expecting just a so so heavy metal band, and what i found is a great and amazing classic 80's rock metal band in the vein of "Europe" "Heavens Gate" "SKid Row" but very technical and powerful!
Youll have 80's pop metal songs with great guitar works (the guys can really shred) and clear high vocals also some keyboards, the singer reminds me of Joey Tempest or Klaus Meine, a must have for everyone...my favorite songs "Woman in cages" "Protection","The Reack Age" "Desert of no love"" |
