"Native Colombian Tulio Zuloaga, while not well known in other parts of the U.S., is a huge hit in Miami and other cities and states where Latin music gains much exposure with the Hispanic community. He contributed a wonderful Latin ballad called Te Llevare (I'll Take You With Me...)a few years ago for a Miramax dark comedy/murder mystery film entitled Curdled. That song is also featured in this latest release. His brand of music represents a popular form associated with his homeland of Colombia. The roster of styles consist of the cumbia, paseo, vallenato, and various others. The most noteable instrument used in any of these is the beloved accordion. Where many would associate the accordion with Lawrence Welk or the great sounds of the polka it is used with grand finesse and jovial enthusiasm. Without it, there is no Colombian cumbia, paseo, or vallenato dance music. It is an integral part of the whole ensemble ! The rest of the music is rich in percussion, sax, guitar, and various other traditional "non-electric" instruments (except for a bare minimum useage of a synthesizer). Zuloaga's vocals are pleasing to the ears and not at all grating or out of tune. He is every bit a professional and gifted artist in his own right !..."
