CD ReviewsTUFF LUCK ALL THE INFO YOU NEED ON THESE GUYS AJ | Long Island, New York | 07/02/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "This disc is very hard to find being that it was an unauthorized release on Conquest Music. Conquest did not only release this Tuff Luck disc (which comes with bonus tracks not available on the New Ren vinyl) but they also released the even harder to find Tuff Luck 2. "TUFF LUCK 2" you ask? Yes there was actually a second disc released by these guys. All members stayed for this one except Kenny Monroe (lead vox), he was replaced by Ian Blackwell (the band recorded 4 or 5 tracks with Ian that never saw the light of day except for "Down Down" which is on the Florida's unsigned bands disc put out by Stryder records) Ian in turn was replaced by "Little" Rick Mechado (again 4 or 5 tracks recorded that never saw the light of day) and finally he was replaced by Rick Maurer who was the singer on the Tuff Luck 2 disc "How I See The World". All singers that came after Kenny were much better then he ever could have been. If you like the 80's glam thing than I highly recommend this disc get it any way you can....sorry Ann we can't wait forever you know. New Ren says they are in the process of re-releasing this on cd but don't hold your breath. I recommend TL2 even more as I like this disc much better. Tuff Luck 2 has a very different sound then what you might remember. Rick has an amazing growl and a great voice but with songs like Darker Side Of Love & My Private Hell it is very clear that they have gone from bubblegum to a "darker" side if you will. So there ya go....hope this helps." Tuff Luck Catharine J. Anderson | Hollywood, fl | 09/24/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Tuff Luck hails from S. Fla. This CD is very rare and hard to find. Information about the band is even harder to find. The band was featured on the cover of a S. Fla publication called Goald Coast Live in the mid 80's. It was the first Tuff Luck interview ever. You can dind this interview by going to http://www.goldcoastlive.com" Tuff Luck - self-titled (Conquest) Mike Reed | USA | 06/09/2005 (3 out of 5 stars) "Looks to be the band's sole effort.Decent sleaze glam metal from the '80's available now on a nice CD reissue. It seems that 'tough luck' is JUST what Tuff Luck experienced with this self-titled disc as it didn't really do very well.Tracks that sort of stood out were "Tonight Tonight","Stranger In The Night","Out On The Run" and "Sad And Lonely".The music is fine, just bad timing,I guess.Might appeal to fans of Slaughter,Tora Tora,House Of Lords and Faster Pussycat."
