Synopsis

Product Description
Trust is Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski (Austra). Formed in 2009, the Toronto-based duo released its first singles, "Candy Walls" and "Bulbform" in 2011 before signing with Arts & Crafts for the 2012 release of their forthcoming debut full length, TRST. Following the release of debut 7-inch "Candy Walls" earlier this year on U.S. imprint Sacred Bones, Trust quickly garnered acclaim for its stirring and moody sounds, with Stereogum and The Fader quickly picking up the track and hailing the band as one to watch during SXSW 2011. In September 2011, Trust followed up "Candy Walls" with another 7" from Sacred Bones that featured "Bulbform" and "F.T.F." as a B-side. Versions of both tracks along with a version of "Candy Walls" will be include in the upcoming Arts & Crafts release. In the last year they've performed with DFA1979, Crystal Castles, Balam Acab, Glass Candy, and Hercules and Love Affair. Tales of lust, wax, and erotomania carry along on a dense black vapor of speed, space and tears. Trust is a pop hit factory buried deep in the mud. More info to come on 2012 tour dates and SXSW shows. "Cast their own shadow of darkness with gothic synths and baritone vocals." - Brooklyn Vegan "Something beautifully seedy." - The Fader "They keep that dark, `dirty' energy in place and add a bunch of hooks, an ability/knack that separates them from a lot of folks associated with the word `witch.'" - Stereogum "Dear Trust: You give me the chills; you know, the good kind. The dark, murky synth, low bass and ice man voice make my hairs stand on end, anxious for the next beat." - Yours Truly
