"Trotsky Icepick- a band with a clever to-die-for name, underappreciated in their day. "El Kabong" is one of the better known albums of their catalog. There are a few too-cutesy tunes here, but the whole CD is redeemed by the title song's analogy about falling in love being like getting whacked in the head, a song about a cute-as-hell astronomer, and a graceful elegy from a heroin addict ("Hotel"). If you're not ashamed to like Zappa and They Might Be Giants, you'll dig these dudes."
