Album Description

Trio in Tokyo, recorded live at Blue Note (Japan) in November 1997 with electric bass master Anthony Jackson and jazz/rock "drum god" Steve Gadd, was originally released posthumously in 1997. The Trio's telepathic connection is magnificently captured here, with Michel giving in freely to his own sensual lyricism. The burning set of originals and standards include "September Second," "Home" and the Miles Davis masterpiece "So What." This newly mastered version comes with one bonus track, Billy Strayhorn's "Take The `A' Train."
