CD ReviewsUltimate kiwi roots jane kiwi music | california usa | 07/27/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "this cd is awesome. trinity roots are one of the best roots bands from nz. totally original and incredibly soulful. all of their cds are a must. nz has the most underated musical talent and once discovered one cannot stop listening. if you love trinity roots, then also ck out these kiwi bands: fat freddys drop; cornerstone roots; black seeds; kora; and anything by barnaby weir from the black seeds." Soulful conscious roots straight from Aotearoa Gareth Ewen | Auckland, New Zealand | 01/16/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "New Zealand is a truly beautiful country and Trinity Root's music is a slice of pure New Zealand. Known throughout the country as one of the most dedicated and original bands playing in the country today - their second album - Home, Land & Sea contains 9 of the most incredible songs to ever appear in the roots/dub scene. Warren Maxwell is a musical genius and has a voice that rings true. Their first album "True" is also a a unique album showcasing what New Zealand music has to offer the world. They have recently announced that they are splitting up so this will be the last album from Trinity Roots and it is a must have for any collection. With only 2 more live shows before they disperse I for one will be front row center for it." Great Band!!! Pualilia | Global Local | 12/28/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "I have seen this band live in New Zealand and they are amazing. They are influenced by reggae, blues, jazz and traditional New Zealand percussion. The musicians are all three great musicians, and it shows on this cd. It is well recorded and has an eclectic mix of songs. Listen to it a few times and you will be stoked. I gave it a 4-star instead of 5-star only because I do not really care for two of the "trance"-like, repetitive songs. But don't let that stop you."
