CD ReviewsNEW-SUPER JAZZ ORGAN TRIO: Pat Bianchi is a new star of the OrganJazzMan | Italy | 04/01/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "I love the Jazz Organ, for this reason my nickname is that !!! Tri-Ocity is the Colorado's Jazz organ Trio formed by: * Pat Bianchi - Hammond B3 Organ * Dave Corbus - Guitar * Todd Reid - Drums This cd was recorded on July 6-7, 2002 at Denver, Colorado. If you love the jazz organist Joey DeFrancesco (as me), also you will love Pat Bianchi, that is a new boss and giant of the topical Jazz Organ !!! His hands and foot are so fast like those of J. DeFrancesco and the great Jimmy Smith. The tenor Saxophonist Javon Jackson says about this group: "The jazz organ trio has an incredible history. Pat, Dave and Todd love and respect that history and are working very hard to add to it... Living in the Denver, CO area, these 3 guys got together about a year ago to form a very exciting jazz organ trio. Working in jazz clubs, concertsettings and jazz festivals, the trio has developed their group sound and repertoire. That time, well spent, has led them to this present endeavor, arecording of diverse selections from five jazz luminaries. They are Billy Strayhorn, Wayne Shorter, Charlie Mingus, John Coltrane and Larry Young. Also included on this cd is a swinging version of the composition, Who Can I Turn To, written by Leslie Bricusse.... " (Javon Jackson, New York, NY,2002) Enjoy it !!! God Bless them !!! and all the great jazz organists !!!!" Really good stuff! Dustin Joseph Wasko | aurora | 02/24/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) " a local colorado organ trio that has mastered the art of the organ trio. goes back to the sounds of wes and jimmy. all great musicians. solid stuff" Freshest sound for an Organ trio Jazz buff | New York | 02/23/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This group has the freshest sound for an organ trio - not falling into just the blues bag, and Binachi rips up the organ with some great guitar work from Corbus also"
