Flat-out fantastic melodic rock album

"Europe may be the leader of the Swedish melodic rock pack in the 1980's/early 1990's, but in terms of quality the long-running band Treat gave them a run for their money. Starting in 1983, Treat released a string of excellent melodic rock albums, including 1986's Pleasure Principle.
Pleasure Principle is probably my favorite Treat album, and is one of the best melodic rock albums from the 80's. Comparisons to Europe are inevitable, and you can definitely hear those elements to Treat's sound, but there are also similarities to Bon Jovi, Aldo Nova, Heavy Pettin' and Giuffria. It's a very slick, very polished album full of fantastic guitar hooks, great vocals you can't help but sing along with, and just the right amount of keyboards. It grabs you from the very first song and will have you nodding your head and singing along with each track that follows. It's just a great example of why rock in the 80's was so much fun.
Pleasure Principle is a near-flawless melodic hard rock album that is sure to please fans of this kind of music. The only drawback is that it is more than a little difficult to track down. It's well worth the effort though.
NOTE: The reissued version of Pleasure Principle features digitally remastered sound and a live version of Rev It Up as a bonus track.

"TREAT es una de las mejores bandas de hard rock que he oido en mucho tiempo. Este album está en una onda más hard a.o.r., contiene buenísimas canciones, melodías pegadizas y un gran cantante,Robert Erlund, sin olvidar a un maestro de la guitarra como Anders Wikstrom. El estilo de TREAT se podría a comparar a EUROPE, pero TREAT es mucho más heavy. Simplemente compralo y no te arrepentirás."
