Album Description"Tractor Operator ... could be called folk or Americana or even grunge, but that only puts limits on the music, which is a lot more cohesive than any sputtering, clashing smash of adjectives might suggest ... It's a good record because it has range--peaks and valleys. It knows when to rage like a motherfucker and when to chill the eff out ... There's some nice wordplay going on here; sometimes the lyrics are a little buried in distortion or noise, but it's definitely worth a close listen to hear what the man's got to say." -- Portland Mercury Tractor Operator is a vehicle for Eric Jensen, member of Ferocious Eagle (54º40' or Fight!). On this, his sophomore effort, he turns things up a notch or two, taking his quiet, lo-fi folk-pop and adding some strong rock tinkerings. Guitars jut out of the space created by his playful circular lyrical constructions. Drums crash around the melodic structures, pushing you through the narrative. And then, the volume comes down and you are at home on the couch, waking up to the static of the television after a few too many beers, groggy but ready to head for the comfort of bed.
