"Every so often comes an artist with skill that simply surpasses that of his contemporaries. TQ is one such artist. Every single song on this album was written and produced by him, except for the Prince remake, of course. His voice is as a good as, if not better, than R. Kelly's and his lyrics are poignant, powerful, and relevant to current life. It is certainly a change from his first cd, which told a story from beginning to end and represented both ghetto fantasy and mature, realistic tracks that commonly used single verse guest appearances from other rap artists to alter the tone of the album in places. However, he is capable of singing in different ways that continue to hold interest and blend with the beats to produce some seriously ill tracks. Instead of the storytelling focus of his first cd, he focuses more on life in ghetto from a general perspective, but still drops Angela Jones, a highly memorable track about a woman whose husband got killed and had to make money by selling her body. I bet you can guess how the song ends; it certainly ain't a happy ending. I can't compare it to his second cd that was only released in Europe as I haven't been able to get ahold of it, so I can't say anything about that. Get this cd if you like complex lyrics and music with deep instrumentals."
