"As far as punk goes, it has its basic sounds. The angry shouting of the exploited, the careless happiness of the Adicts, but trust me whne i say the toy dolls are unlike any punk band you've ever heard. The lead singer Olga delivers some of the most unique vocals to ever come out of your stereo, and instead of focusing on how bad the world is, it focuses on how good we can make it if we try. Now this cd does fall victim to the classic one song you've heard it all virus, but i personally don't mind hearing that sound for an hour. If your ready for a different sound, try the toy dolls, but if songs that make you fell like your in a pub turn you off, you may want to look elsewhere."
Good album...

"This record is truly a classic in my books . If you've never heard any songs by this wacky punk band than this is the album to buy first . If you are a fan of the adicts or the dickies , you will most likely love this album"
Cool

"This Album is Old School punk. I love the humor-especially Spiders in the dressing room!"
A decent release melding pop-punk with Oi!

"The Toy Dolls are just one of those bands that not many people have heard about. Don't ask me why... they were (and still are!) one of the most unique punk bands out there. "Dig That Groove Baby" is one of their original releases that has been remastered for generation after generation of punks, social misfits, and all-around cretins. So whats so great about this band, you ask? Well for one, you're not going to hear them singing the typical anti-establishment songs of the era. The Toy Dolls have always been about a positive outlook on life and silly little songs about real people and real experiences (in other words, if you're looking for social angst, go with The Exploited). Excluding the later music of The Adicts, these guys were the original pop-punk band. Before NOFX, before Green Day, and before any of that MTV bullsh*t, there was Olga's catchy chords and one-of-a-kind voice. They did it first, and they did it right. Now on the downside, this album suffers from good ole' monotony. You know what I'm talking about. A lot of the songs are a bit similar in nature... lyrically and musically. Also, if you're not a fan of high-pitched english accents, avoid the Toy Dolls like the plague. I would give the album 3 and 1/2 stars if that were possible, but I was in a rather objective mood when I wrote this and decided on 3 instead of 4. Hehehe...But if you're looking for something fresh and unique (as in something besides "Oh, my girlfriend broke up with me!" or "Oh, I hate the government!") then give the Toy Dolls a spin. It's even got a few of their singles as a bonus. If you like this one, then pick up the suprisingly more hardcore (relatively speaking) sound of "One More Megabyte.""
