This big band classic swings, mystifies and soothes....

"One of their best, from the mid 1970's. An incredibly rich, full sound. The arrangements, unmistakably Ellington-influenced, are alternately poetic and swinging, with unique textures and voicings. The chemistry of Toshiko's Japanese roots paired with then-husband Lew Tabackin's muscular, often quirky, sax work is very refreshing. I have been listening to this one since I was a kid, and it remains vital today. A must have for any fan of inventive big band music."
