"As a long time Tony Macalpine fan, I own every single one of his recordings; and every once in a while I go on a T-Mac listening marathon. Recently, I came across this cd and took another turn at it; guess what?! I like it even more now, than I did in the old days, mainly because I can better appreciate the overall musicianship, the composition and the fact that Tony Macalpine is truly one of the most versatile guitar players out there. He's not just your average heavy metal guitarist; he'll play bluesy licks from time to time, jazzy overtones, fusion, metal, progressive rock/metal, neoclassical rock, etc...



The reason I'm saying this is because this record reminds me of that particular trait about Tony the guitar player, the innate ability, as a well-schooled musician, to be melodic, to vary in styles and composition, the application of different textures in his music and his incredible tone and technique. All in all, great voice, great songs (Summer's Gone) is the highlight in that regard, and great guitar playing. If you don't own this album, I strongly recommend you buy it!!!



Believe me, when after so many years, listening to it forced me into writing this review, it's because it's really a great album worth a listen and a buy!"
