CD ReviewsToni's Back On To The Dance Scene! 10/19/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Tracklisting: 1)Mousse T's Extended Mix 2)Mousse T's Deep Vocal Mix 3)HQ2 Club Mix 4)Eifel 65 Extended MixThis is definately a must have single for any Toni Braxton fan or club fanatic! this is part 2 of a 2 cd set. A rare limited one pressing CD maxi single released only in Australia. The mixes are superb and are guaranteed to keep you dancing all night & into the morning. The first remix (Mousse T's Extended Mix) kind of has a disco/retro feeling to it kind of taking you back in time. Mousse T's Deep Vocal Mix is currently the type of song you would hear playing in a club late at night, definately a great mix. The HQ2 Club Mix (Hex Hector & Mac Quayle) is the best remix on this CD quite possible one of the hottest dance tracks of the year! this song made it to #1 on the dance hot 100 billboard charts for 2 weeks so that says enough. They turned this ballad into an amazing latin filled dance anthem! I love how they added the extra Spanish Guitar's in the background. The Eifel 65 Extended mix is different from their previous mixes no distorted vocals just a plain solid dance track however it's definately below standards compared to the other 3 mixes. Also make sure you check out "Spanish Guitar" part 1 of the 2 CD set. It contains all these remixes (all radio edits though) in exception to one extra track which is the Royal Gardens Flamenco Radio mix. This is another fantastic remix that has totally been remixed into a hot latin vibe anthem." THESE ARE THE ONES!! Adrian Thacker | 10/18/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Ok everyone, these are the mixes that you've been looking for, the full length club versions of Toni's "Spanish Guitar". I suppose you'll want to know what's on this disc...1) Radio Mix - 4:30 - the original version which was produced by David Foster. One of the ballads that Toni sings so beautifully.2) Mousse T's Extended Mix - 6:30 - Mousse T (remixes for Amber, Ann Nesby) gives us a nice light house mix here. No good for club use, just some nice club tunes that focus on Toni's vocals and the spanish guitar strumming through the track. A good mix.3) HQ2 Mix - 8:54 - Hex Hector & Mac Quayle (Madonna, Tracie Spencer, Pulse) produced this remix that took American clubs by storm a few moments back. A nice solid beat that's matched up again with the spanish guitars. The guitars are used alot more frequently in this remix, and they work remarkably well. This is a fabulous remix that must be heard. Any fan of the flamenco sound will definately enjoy this one.4) Mousse T's Deep Vocal Mix - 8:38 - Mousse T's second take on the song and I feel that it works a little bit better than the first. A little bit harder than the first mix, but still keeping that nice light house feel to it. The spanish guitars aren't used nearly as much in this remix as they are in the other versions, which some may say is a good thing, depending on your view of the flamenco sound. They don't really kick into the track until a little over the half way point.5) Eiffel 65 Extended Mix - 6:57 - Eiffel 65 (Kim Lukas, Love Inc. & S Club 7) give us a shockingly good remix. I was not expecting much from the Eiffel crew for their mixes are not usually my style. But this one steers clear of the vocoder vocals that we are used to from these guys, they keep the guitars working through the whole mix, but they also still keep some of their sound to the remix through the throbbing backbeat. Great work from these boys.So kids, until the BMG crew gets their act together and starts to release club smashes (this one among others) as domestic singles, you'd better order this import while it's is still available. Enjoy the music." Seductive Michael Kerner | Brooklyn, New York U.S.A. | 07/01/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "There is no doubt that sometimes, a song can sedue you all the way down to the heart, if you meet that special heart of course. Toni Braxton felt that exact same way in her career, and her personal life of course. Sometimes, that specific song can make you meet Mr. or Ms. Right anyday. The song, Spanish Guitar was written by Diane Warren, who also wrote Un-Break My Heart for Toni in 1996. The song plays like a melodic dream, and is just a beautiful way of knowing the hopeful significant other you love them, even if they can't love you back. I really recommend this song for anybody trying to get love, even myself."
