AWESOME ALBUM
Well, BLEEP You Too | A Southern Californian Forced into Washinton state | 07/05/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)
"Real R&B Music is back. After many set backs due to song leaks, Toni Braxton returns with her 6th Studio Album "Pulse". And Unlike one of her previous efforts, More than a woman, She gives us that Classic 90's Toni we all fell in love with.
Since the other bonus tracks can be bought on the digital deluxe version, This Target CD is a must for "The wave" alone
1. Yesterday - The original version. So Glad the original version appears on the album. It's byfar the better version of the song - 10/10
2. Make My Heart - a Fun, Poppy Dance Track which samples another fun Dance Track - "We're going to a party" By Evelyn 'Champagne' king - 9.5/10
3. Hands tied - Ooh, Toni's naughty. Toni shows us her Sexy in-the-bedroom side - 10/10
4. Woman - A cover of the songby Australian singer Delta Goodrem. Toni Braxton takes her country song and gives it an awesome R&B spin - 10/10
5. If I have to wait - classic Toni - reminds me of songs like "How many ways" And "You mean the world to me" - 10/10
6. Lookin' At me - The melody, especially the drum Pattern reminds me of Single ladies. There's a version with Sean Paul that leaked. Personally I think that version belonged on the CD. This one, it's still good - 7.5/10
7. Wardrobe - Not feeling the lyrics too much. However, love the instrumental and the vocals - 5/10
8. Hero (Leaked as My Heart never had a hero) - Classic Ballad toni. So Glad this Stayed on the CD. 10/10
9. No Way - A classic song about reassurance. She needed her heart unbroken once before, Now It's on Toni to reassure her man that she won't break his heart or let him down - 10/10
10. Pulse - 10/10 - kinda hard to explain this one. Listen to it
11. Why won't you love me - Toni Has said she was unable to make it the Usher Duet she wanted it to be. This version, while good, I think Usher could have made it a lot better - 5/10
12. The wave (Bonus) - This was cut for leaking as "My ring's too heavy" But Should have been on the CD everywhere. This is the best song and alone makes this Target Edition worth the extra money. She certainly knew what she was doing when She teamed up with Jesse McCartney. The Boy can write one hell of a song. - 10/10
13. Yesterday - cutmore remix radio edit - An Awesome remix reduced for time - 10/10
Even with some of the songs that leaked being removed from the final track listing, Toni Still delivers a solid album. I just hope to see a digital release or a deluxe re-release with the songs that didn't make this CD sometime in the future"
