"J. S. Bach: French Suites Nos. 1-6; Ton Koopman (harpsichord) is a splendid recording with the tallented Cembalo player Ton Koopman. The sound quality is superb and they have captured the amazing sound of the cembalo. In fact Koopman is such an accomplished cembalo player that I daresay Bach himself would have been pleased. The book-let is alright but I get the sense that Warner music decided to be a bit cheap. The photo is alright and the painting likewise. But they both seem a bit uninspired. The essay written Christoph Wollf and translated by Stewart Spencer is very well written and quite informative. I love this recording and therefore give it 5 well-deserved stars."
